Dive Right In
Words and Music by Forrest (Butch) Castetter
Copyright 2006

When I was a kid, I didn't know how to swim
Afraid of the water, scared to get in
When all my friends would go down to the pool
I'd stand on the edge and feel like a fool

The water's great, so come on in
It's a wonderful day to go for a swim.
It's a pitiful life watching everyone else
So put all your worries aside and dive right in

In high school I didn't know how to dance
Looking for love and a little romance
All the girls would be out on the floor
I'd sit in my chair and act like a bore

When I was young I played guitar
Had big dreams of being a star
But every time I'd get on stage
Man my knees would tremble and shake
