Dancing With The Angels

John and Becky got married back in forty-three
They lived their lives together in the hills of Tennessee
Two years later, they had a baby
A little girl and put ribbons in her hair they named her Katie Leigh
Katie Bug they called her, she had big bright eyes
What a smile, she was such a delight
Saturday mornings, they'd drive into town
Katie talked to everyone that came around
"Do you wanna see me dance?" she'd always say
I'm gonna be a dancer when I grow up someday
Dancing like an angel
Dancing with her feet off the ground
Dancing like an angel
Danced like an angel with her feet off the ground
One frozen morning as they drove into town
The truck crashed, Katie laid on the ground
Her life was fading as John did pray
Dear God please don't take her away
Then Katie's eyes opened wide
Her face glowed with the light
Katie says that late at night
When the skies are clear and the moon is bright
If you look up in the heavens way up high
You can see angels dancing in the moonlight
